SpectraSoft Releases AppointmentsPRO™ Version 8.0

SpectraSoft Inc. is pleased to announce the release of AppointmentsPRO™ Version 8.0. AppointmentsPRO™ is a powerful and intuitive, Windows-based software product designed to manage complex appointment scheduling and resource management tasks.

Version 8.0 now also supports the Privacy Rule of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA). Under the tenants of the Privacy Rule, all healthcare providers are required to safeguard their individually identifiable health information under penalty of sanctions for non-compliance as early as April 14, 2003.

Patients must also be given the right to access their own medical records, while all other disclosure must be limited to the specific need to know. With the latest release of AppointmentsPRO™ by SpectraSoft Inc., healthcare providers will gain unprecedented scheduling versatility and maximum control of access to the information contained in their patient records.

Included among the Version 8 scheduling enhancements, users will find they can define access to patient information through many levels of security. Passwords can be set to expire over any period of time. Users can be given the power to reset their passwords at will to prevent unauthorized access to information through computer hacking. Appointment history is easy to archive, and archived records can now be retrieved by the click of a button whenever necessary.

The flexibility of AppointmentsPRO has also been enhanced by the addition of a Hide (toggle) which can be used to protect sensitive information on the screen in busy environments, and by improved reporting capability.
